Bruce Lee Workout Routine
77Bruce Lee's Training
Bruce Lee was an incredible martial artist and the impact of his amazing physical attributes is still being felt today. He still sets the standard for speed, power, and of course, washboard abs. Bruce Lee trained intensely to sculpt a perfect, functionally fit body. To do so required discipline and hard work.
Strength Training Routine
Bruce Lee was an avid fitness fanatic. He incorporated a bodybuilding approach. Bruce Lee workout routine included 3 days of weight training per week. He always rested one day between workouts. The exercises, sets, and reps that Lee used were not overly complicated. They focused on improving explosive power and building functionally fit muscles. He performed 2 sets of the following exercises.
Clean & Press: 8 reps
Squats: 12 reps
Pullovers: 8 reps
Bench press: 6 reps
Good mornings: 8 reps
Barbell curls: 8 reps
Bruce Lee Demonstrated Incredible Strength
Bruce Lee focused on developing power and speed to destroy any adversary. He developed an amazing technique known as the one inch punch. He could do one finger pushups. His kicks could literally destroy a heavy bag. He could even support a 125lb barbell in front of him with his elbows locked.
Cardio Workout
Bruce Lee's cardio workout included martial arts, jump rope, and high intensity running. Lee practiced martial arts regularly and even held small weights to increase the speed and strength of his punches. His running routine involved intervals including mile long sprints followed by walking a mile. He also rode a stationary bike for 45 minutes after running.
Abs Routine
Bruce Lee abs are, to this day, the goal of anyone who has ever wanted six pack abs. They were unbelievably flat and defined. Of course the main reason his abs were so visible was due to his low body fat. However, he compulsively trained abs as well. He felt that any martial artist who didn't display abs was weak.
He performed 4 sets of the following exercises:
Waist twists - 90 reps
Sit-up twists - 20 reps
Leg raises - 20 reps
Leaning twists - 50 reps
Frog kicks - 50 reps
Additionally, he did situps, side bends, flags, and leg raises.

Thanks for this hub, some years ago I delved into Bruce Lee's philosophy. Implementing as best I could his routines, analyzing (honestly) myself, and applying Bruce take on psychology, spirituality and self help I lost 90Lbs, began dating for the first time and found inner peace.
And all this from an example left by a man who has been deceased going on four decades, what a great human being.
How do i Get his fore arms what is the workout routine anyone ?? thanks
Still say that Chuck Norris would have won. ;)

Chuck Norris suchs compare to Bruce Lee.
Bruce has had an incredible impact on my life. His amazing Jeet Kun Do overshadows what a great philospher he truly was. He was definitley before his time and a tremoundous loss to the world
P.S. With all due respect but Bruce Lee would have destroyed Chuck Norris if there had been a real confrontation between the two.

And following the late truly great Bruce Lee at 13 and train very hard everyday I am a Black belt in two different styles also studied Shaolin Gungfu and am former N.J. Golden Gloves Championships all because of Bruce Lee thank u Bruce for everything u did for me and the Martial Arts .....
bruce lee taught chuck norris what chuck knows, so... bruce would have won.
well, he would have won anyway :)
Chuck Norris was only trained in one martial art I believe so Bruce Lee already knows what he knows because Bruce is the master of all.
superior legend in martial art world because big surprise comes only in small packets salute to him
bruce lee is the best fighter there ever will be
I'm definitely going to try this as my daily routine
There's a Bruce Lee in us all. Such a dynamic man he was, all because he believed in what life has to offer. I wish I could've met him.
There was only one.the best. Love you Bruce

It's crazy to see the type of exercise Bruce did on a day to day basis! Running 5 miles, then spending 45mins on a stationary bike (everyday!) plus all the other stuff! He defintely had superhuman power and speed! Interesting read..
