John Cena Workout Routine

John Cena of the WWE, stands 6’1” and weighs 245lbs. However, he used to be a skinny 120lb teenager. At the age of 15, Cena started weight training and went from 155lbs to 215lbs in 1 year. He graduated high school at 250lbs and went on to play college football.

Cena got involved in bodybuilding at the age of 18 and was recruited by Vince McMahon to join the WWE. John Cena workout routine has helped him become a lean, muscular beast.

How The Champ Trains

Cena splits his workout routine into upper vs. lower body days and performs cardio as well. John Cena training also includes WWE practice.

Day 1: Upper body
Day 2: Lower body
Day 3: Cardio
Day 4: Upper body
Day 5: Lower body
Day 6: Cardio
Day 7: Rest

Cena's Lower Body Training

Glute/Ham Raise

Squats

Deadlifts

Power Snatch

Power Clean

Cena's Nutrition and Diet

Breakfast: 8 eggs, 8 whites, two yellows and 100g of oatmeal with applesauce or raisins

Midmorning snack: protein bar

Lunch: 2 chicken breasts, 100g brown rice and veggies

Mid-afternoon snack: tuna on whole wheat pita bread

Pre-Post Workout: whey protein shake and a Banana

Dinner: grilled fish or chicken, brown rice or pasta, vegetables, and salad.

Evening Snack: casein protein shake or low fat cottage cheese

IU noticed that there are no exercises for shoulders. Yet Cena seems to have decent symetry there??

By lookIng at what the article said "saying he went from 155lbs to 215 lbs that is physically impossible in one year I think that tool place more likely over a time period of 2-3 years not to mention that's assuming his body fat % stayed around the same % that is my oppinion as a qualified gym instructor
