Who is Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo of Real Madrid is one of the world's best soccer players. He is incredibly skilled at ball handling. Even more so, Ronaldo is in amazing shape. He maintains great muscle definition and solid six pack abs. That's the reason why he is an Armani model as well. Ronaldo's workout and diet allow him to maintain body fat under 10%.

Ronaldo's Workout Routine

Cristiano Ronaldo's workout routine is built around playing soccer. He practices for 3-5 hours per day. Soccer is an excellent form of cardio as it involves sprinting and jogging in intervals. This has helped Ronaldo and others like David Beckham to maintain really low levels of body fat.The low level of body fat allows Ronaldo's abs to really show through. Additionally, it helps that soccer requires balance and flexibility, meaning that he must have a strong core.

Soccer Training

Soccer players require explosiveness, strength, and cardiovascular conditioning. The fat burning effect from soccer comes from the intense sprints following by jogging. This is similar to high intensity interval training (HIIT) which is proven to burn fat faster than a steady paced cardio routine. Circuit training is also great for soccer players since it builds strength, explosiveness, and cardiovascular capacity at the same time.

Ronaldo's Diet

Ronaldo's diet is fairly strict in that he only eats good carbohydrates and generally avoids fat.  He eats a good amount of protein as well.  Typically, breakfast includes juice and wholewheat cereal.  Lunch would include chicken or some type of meat with salad and a high quality carbohydrate such as a baked potato, wholewheat pasta, or vegetables.  His afternoon snack would be something like a tuna roll.  For dinner, he has a similar meal as lunch.
